The Very Best Fat Loss Diet Plan
The Magic Trio diet plan is situated around intermittent fasting.
Since you have fat reduction as the goal and know how to determine it, it’s time to discuss the best way to get it done. Intermittent fasting is one of the most effective ways to shed fat. Let’s face it. There aren’t many options for an easy fat loss diet program out there. It’s funny that many people concentrate on things to eat in order to lose fat when one of the better ways to shed pounds is to simply refrain from eating. After I began intermittent fasting, I was able to reduce my body fat percentage by over 65% in under a year. Sure, there were other elements that led to this, but intermittent fasting was a major one. There are two main reasons why individuals don’t consider intermittent fasting when attempting to lose fat. First, they are afraid of causing themselves to enter “starvation mode”. Next, they believe it’s too difficult.
First, let me address the starvation mode misconception.
Your body won’t go into starvation mode when you go without eating for 20 to 24 hours which is the amount of time I recommend for a fast. There is no bodily panic button that is triggered after a few hours of not eating that signals to your body that it’s in peril and that it must quickly hold on to body fat stores. On the contrary, your body will burn off stored body fat as energy after hours of fasting as a result of lack of food energy. Our hunter gatherer forefathers regularly went for 24 hours or more without eating as they didn’t have easily accessible food and they also were slimmer and fitter than we are. It’s not like a deer or bison would show up on their doorstep every few hours. The starvation mode myth was developed by the food industry to convince people that they should eat every couple of hours so they will purchase more food. Did I mention you’re going to save a lot of money on food by practicing intermittent fasting?
Intermittent fasting doesn’t have to be torturous.
Now that I’ve hopefully convinced you that intermittent fasting isn’t a bad thing, on to the next point. Intermittent fasting might be hard at first. However, it’s not difficult if you do it the right way. It’s really more of a mental challenge than anything. It mostly involves transforming the way your mind is programmed to think about eating. I believe we have all experienced a time when we weren’t hungry, but mysteriously persuaded ourselves to eat. Well, this may also work the other way round. This may cause some temporary irritation, but if it were effortless, everybody would do it. Just suck it up and get over it. Quit telling yourself you can’t skip a meal or two and just do it. Once you start performing it consistently, it will become second nature.
Another important thing to note…
In regards to intermittent fasting, remember that you’re not starving yourself. You are working towards a goal. Also, you should initially only try this one or two times a week. Any more than this and you’re less likely to stick with it over the long run and long-term commitment is what yields results. Actually, I recommend only one 20 to 24 hour fast a week when you get started. The reason I propose 20 to 24 hours is that research has shown that fat burning increases significantly after 18 hours of fasting. Those of you who are really driven will enjoy the next section. To learn more about intermittent fasting, the best resource you can read is Brad Pilon’s Eat Stop Eat. I strongly recommend this e-book for anyone who wants to understand how intermittent fasting works and why it’s the easiest and most powerful fat loss diet plan out there.
