A Spy Camera For All Occasions

Monday, July 12th, 2010

Spy cameras have been made famous by the private investigation industry. These nifty little devices are often used to catch our cheating spouses, less than trustworthy child minders and thieving employees.

A lot of debate has been made over the use of spy cameras as an investigation method. Many people will even say that it is underhanded and dishonest to spy on someone when they are not aware of it. They say that this is invading someone’s privacy.

Although this is a very valid argument, you also have to realize that there are times when people have the right to see what is going on behind their backs. Think about it carefully: if you had a company with many employees, and money had started to go missing, what would you do? Installing a spy camera to catch thieving or lazy employees out can be very necessary sometimes in order to prevent the downfall of a company.

Imagine that YOU suspect you are being lied to and cheated on by the very person you think you can trust more than anyone in the world. Wouldn’t you want to know the truth? Installing a spy camera can go miles in putting your mind at ease and repairing a relationship destroyed by insecurity and lack of trust.

Most mothers will agree that they have every right to install a spy camera in their home and their child’s bedroom. This is for them to ensure that their trusted child minder or nanny is looking after their baby in a manner that is acceptable and loving. Babies cannot speak for themselves, so therefore it is almost necessary that you can see what is really going on.

No matter how much you think you trust someone, people can be very insidious when they think no one can see what they are getting up to.

The Girl Method For Starting Lawn Mowers

Monday, July 12th, 2010

Here in the southern area of the US, Spring is really only a few weeks away. That means I need to get out my lawn mower and give it a good going over to be sure it’s ready to start all my lawn care tasks again. I like to get my young son active in the operation because he’s about the right age to learn how to check the oil and spark plug.

Now you might guess I’m a dad writing this, but no – I’m a mom. But the yard work are all mine – by choice. Spring lawn care is very of the essence because it sets the tone of how my yard will do once the summer heat and humidity get started.

But back to my mower. Normally the first time I mow in the Spring is to cut down the weeds that have gotten a bit beside themselves. They usually grow faster than the grass this time of year, so I cut them down before they go to seed. Last year, I got the intelligent idea to mow one day when it was cool and just about to rain.

Having sat in the storage shed for the past four months, my mower just wasn’t interested in starting for me. Usually, I put it on the south side of my house in the sun for an hour before I need to start it up the first time. It gets nice and warm and will start within a couple of pulls. But last year, there was no sun to be found. In fact, it started drizzling on me while I was pulling the cord.. and pulling and pulling.

Frustrated and breathing hard, I decided to think it through instead of seeing if I could make my arm fall off. I only needed to get that engine warm. So I put on my thinking cap and came up with a super-easy solution – my hair dryer. I plugged it into the garage outlet, parked the mower next to it and flipped the switch.

After a few minutes of blowing the dryer on my mower, I decided to test out my theory about the ‘warm’ engine. First pull had that baby purring like, well, like a loud lawn mower. What do ya know? Just goes to show that moms can make starting lawn mowers into something simple.

The Theory Behind Corporate Branding

Monday, July 12th, 2010

Terms like corporate design and creative branding may be new to you, but they are important to businesses. What do they mean? Well, they are all about creating the right image for your company to the public, or rather to that sector of the public that might buy your products or services.

To give you some examples, Volkswagen wants to put across the image that its cars are reliable and of good quality, in the hope that you will be prepared to pay a little extra for them. Therefore, they use a fairly simple colour layout for their marketing, and have gone in for stunts like dropping one of their cars off the top of a skyscraper.

On the other hand, Coca Cola, which has one of the best-known logos there is, wants to appeal to everyone. Few businesses, do however, so you really need to work out exactly what your customers are like, and get the help of a firm that is experienced in corporate branding in Leeds, Edinburgh or London. This is not as difficult as it might sound because most of these firms show examples of their work on their websites. If they don’t you will be taking a risk by using their services.

What about creative branding? This is just another slant on the same thing, more jargon. Even so, it is worth doing a search for creative branding London, or creative branding Leeds before you get a firm to do your corporate branding. It is important to remember that if you get the design right, it could be worth a huge amount of money to your firm over 10 or 20 years.

The important thing is that when potential customers hear your company name, or see one of your advertisements, or one of your products, they should feel confident in giving you their custom. That is not too easy, and takes time. In other words, you can have the flashiest logo and corporate branding you like, but if your service and the image your staff put across is slap-dash, you won’t get the customers you want.
